Hello fellow Bradbury fans! My name is Alex Gray and I am a filmmaker at the Colorado Film School. I'm in my final year at the school and for my thesis film I have acquired the rights from Mr. Bradbury himself to adapt his "Jack in the Box" short story into a short film. The story is very thought provoking with complex characters and a satisfying ending. If you have not read it I would highly recommend it, as it is another one of Bradbury's hidden gems. The assembled cast is perfect in their look and talent. The location of the house is an amazing mansion in Palmer Lake, Colorado. We are shooting this film on the RED camera, the same camera used in “The Social Network,” “Blue Valentine,” “Contagion,” and many other films. Below is a link to our indie go go page where you can contribute to the production. http://www.indiegogo.com/jackinthebox (The poster on the site is temporary and we will have an official one up as soon as it is complete.) Also the facebook page just launched today with pictures of production day one. https://www.facebook.com/pages...-Box/225778984114246 A bit about me: Last summer, my third year production "DEREK" premiered at the prestigious Palm Springs International Shorts Fest as well as the Philadelphia Film & Animation Festival. "DEREK" is still in the festival market and cannot be seen online but a teaser can be viewed here. http://vimeo.com/24796457 My films have won many awards through the school including, best third and second year production, best sound, and best special effects. I take filmmaking and storytelling very seriously and I feel very fortunate to have a story such as "Jack in the Box" to adapt. By contributing you would be supporting your love of Bradbury and the fine arts. Please help me make this film so that many audiences can experience Brabdury's beautiful story. Hi Alex, and welcome. This sounds like a great project - and it looks good too (judging by the Facebook photos). Good luck with it! I'll put something on my blog, and I look forward to tracking your progress through to finished movie. - Phil Deputy Moderator | Visit my Bradbury website: www.bradburymedia.co.uk | Listen to my Bradbury 100 podcast: https://tinyurl.com/bradbury100pod

I have read the short story, 'Jack-in-the-Box' earlier. The author Mr. Bradbury explains beautifuly about the life of little Edwin and the situation he had to face. The book tells how little Wdwin know about death and life and how he see it. ThanksThis message has been edited. Last edited by: philnic,
