Yes - hello - I am trying to find the title of a short story believed to be written by Ray Bradbury.

A friend thinks the title is One hundred and Thirty Nine Steps and describes it is a romantic story about a man and a woman in love - separated by a career decision - only to be reunited in Paris 20 years later... can't find it anywhere - wondering if the title is incorrect.

Any ideas ?

Thank you !

Thank you for your time.

Doesn't sound like one of his.

It doesn't sound like one of his, but the theme of lost love reunited decades later (although not to a denouement) is in one of the Laurel and Hardy stories. I don't remember which one, but there's a fairly current thread with Laurel and Hardy in the name.

I believe the story you are looking for is "The Laurel and Hardy Love Affair." It can be found in the Ray Bradbury short-story collection, THE TOYNBEE CONVECTOR.
