I'm always nervous to post on message boards, especially when I know the topic has been brought up before. I would really like to write a letter to Ray, and feel there might be a small chance he might see it. I googled "contacting Ray Bradbury" and this message board came up, and the earliest posts I found were from 2002. I'm sorry if it has been asked too many times before...but I really would love to write to him. I live in Vancouver, WA and I really don't think there is any chance I will ever be able to meet him in person. If you know anything about where he receives his fan mail, it would make me feel so much better. I will send e-mails and letters everywhere I can, but I don't know the best way to start.

Hi Leanna, and welcome! Don't be nervous, we're all quite friendly here! You're right, the question has been asked many times. The official answer is given on Ray's publisher's website, which says: Contact an Author How do I write to an author?... ...we will be happy to forward traditional mail for you. Write to authors of general books in the U.S. as follows: Author Name c/o Author mail, 7th Floor HarperCollins Publishers 10 East 53rd Street, New York, NY 10022 If you'd care to email me (rbboards@bradburymedia.co.uk), I may be able to suggest some other things you could try. - Phil Deputy Moderator | Visit my Bradbury website: www.bradburymedia.co.uk | Listen to my Bradbury 100 podcast: https://tinyurl.com/bradbury100pod

Look for his Logan's Run graphic novel to hit the shelves in a few weeks. John King Tarpinian You know what you are, Mr. Bradbury? ... You are a poet! -- Aldous Huxley

Thanks for the address, I know Mr. Bradbury 's health is not good, but I have been meaning to write him a letter at least to let him know I really enjoy his works, I only started reading them just last year (2008) shortly after I had read 1984. I was happy to hear he was still alive, to be honest, I didn't think he was. Anyway, thanks again!!! God Bless ~Amy

Just so there is no rumors here, Ray is in NO danger of leaving us anytime soon. He will be 90 on his next birthday. Yes, he is in a wheel chair when he is in public but that is more so to keep him from getting tired and because he does walk very slowly, which he does at home. He walks up a flight of stairs when he returns home from an outing. Heck, I can barely do that and I'm 35 years his junior. So yes his health could be better but fear not he's going to be with us for years to come. John King Tarpinian You know what you are, Mr. Bradbury? ... You are a poet! -- Aldous Huxley
