Hey, I just logged on to the board and saw that there were four or five other regulars currently logged in! This doesn't usually happen - I'm often the only one in here, what with different time zones and all. Anyhow... A few weeks ago I wrote to Ray, and a few days ago I got a reply! I had some questions about Ray's work in radio, and being unable to get the answers from anyone I thought I had no choice but to go to the man himself, and he very graciously gave me some answers. Needless to say, I was very pleased. (I've been writing an article for (I hope) publication about Ray's radio work with the BBC. It's currently with an editor; if the editor bites, I will post more information about it to the board.) - Phil Deputy Moderator | Visit my Bradbury website: www.bradburymedia.co.uk | Listen to my Bradbury 100 podcast: https://tinyurl.com/bradbury100pod

Phil, I am so happy to hear that you heard from Ray. Over the 38 years that I have been acquainted with him he has been very accomodating in regard to replying to my missives. I was looking at a couple of post cards the other day that I received many years ago from Robert Heinlein (who was instrumental in getting Ray's first story published) and in his second card he said that he didn't have time to respond to my notes to him because he was too busy writing. Well, Ray has always been busy writing and yet he answers the vast majority of correspondence that he receives. I think that he would be honored to know the extent to which you have established a Ray Bradbury web site in England. Thanks for prodivding the article with the answer to the "let the cat die" question.

One of the amazing things about amazing Ray is it's hard to see how he does all he does, that would not be expected of most mortal human beings, even very accomplished ones.
