Readers of this site may be interested to know that the UK stage premiere of Fahrenheit 451 will be taking place at the Nottingham Arts Theatre, England from Tuesday 23 to Saturday 27 September 2003. This is a partnership production between the Nottingham Theatre Royal, for which I am the Education Manager and Nottingham Arts Theatre. I am directing the production, which includes a large community cast, special effects and computer animation (the mechanical hound). The show is certainly a huge challenge for all concerned, but it is great to be able to deal with such terrific material, as the appeal for me is the relevance the story has for the 21st century. Further details about the show will be found on the Theatre Royal's website www.royalcentre-nottingham.co.uk and the Nottingham Arts Theatre website www.artstheatre.org.uk I also welcome any debate from Ray Bradbury fans about the original novel and stage adaptation of F451.

This is what I call a coincidence...I have been browsing this site trying to get in touch with Mr. Bradbury to have his permission to make a theatrical adaptation of Fahrenheit 451 for the italian stage...Please, if you know how to reach him, can you give me some hints? Did you adapt the novel into a play, or what? I wonder if there is already an adaptation by mr. Bradbury himself, and if there is, I would love to read it. Thanks for any information you will be able to forward! Maddalena
