Sure, we all knew about the movies, the TV series, and other major recorded appearances, and of course those belong here. But this thread really needs to exist because where else would you find this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5NxG_rr5aU

I'd certainly never seen or heard of it. And dig the nifty "2001" fashions!

CBC interview done during the filming of The Illustrated Man. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxW18RDJk6A

All over the blogosphere! It's been in constant circulation for several years, and has been posted on this very board a few dozen times!

Phil, I must have missed those posts! Are you providing links to everything legit over at your site?

Did Ray do any other commercials? Are they on Ray Bradbury, An American Icon? I admit to purchasing that, but haven't watched it, so don't know what may be on in the form of TV appearances. I also need to get The Story of a Writer and watch both soon. I really wish there was a set of things available, with TV interviews and also fun stuff like the Groucho Marx show appearance and, my personal favorite, a 1978 Science Fiction awards show where Ray kept cracking up at his co-presenter, a robot! That was one of the all-time hilarious things I ever saw! Ray would utter a few words in complete solemnity, then look over at that robot and just LOSE IT!

In theory I provide links to everything - but I am not up to date and there are lots of gaps. The only times I deliberately DON'T provide a link is where someone is clearly ripping off somebody else.

I don't recall seeing any commercials in AMERICAN ICON (but it's a long time since I watched it). From what I recall, it consists of material filmed specially for the documentary, with illustrative material taken from RAY BRADBURY THEATER.

Somebody posted a link to the Groucho Marx clip a day or too ago. Prior to that, I hadn't seen it. (I have some of the BET YOUR LIFE shows on DVD, bought in the hope that the RB episode would be included, but alas it wasn't.)

Never seen Ray with robot friend.

STORY OF A WRITER is available to view on Archive.org - downloadable in various formats. Seek and ye shall find!

There are some terrible things on You Tube--copyright violations and college students making whole videos mocking Ray. And, I mean, not affectionately like the Rachel Bloom song.

I know, and I did several searches hoping to post this in the same thread, but when I couldn't find it I started a new thread.

Hi Phil:

You may have already have a link for this mid-1970's interview with Ray somewhere, but I thought I would mention it again just in case it has been overlooked. It's an excellent interview with Ray. The thread also contains interviews with other SF authors, such as Harlan Ellison and Octavia Butler, as well: it's from the CUNY TV's re-broadcast of newly digitized episodes of DAY AT NIGHT, the popular public television series hosted by the late James Day:

Hi Bill, thanks for the link. It looks familiar, but I wasn't aware of the other luminaries in the same series. Excellent!

It was the 1978 Science Fiction Film Awards, which is listed under Ray's Internet Movie Database credits. JKT posted a still picture from it, https://raybradburyboard.com/ev...=449107981#449107981 but I don't know if the actual show is available anywhere.

I have almost his whole last Comic-Con lecture (2010), and parts of Comic-con lectures back to 2006 on my youtube account. They are shaky cam and not high quality but the sound is fine. Anyway I just wanted to record them for posterity. here is a link to one of them:

Spotted these by way of fanboy's link. Connie Martinson interviews Ray Bradbury on Green Shadows, White Whale, and We'll Always Have Paris.
