From The Fiend in You (1962), edited by Charles Beaumont (and William F. Nolan, uncredited, source Bradbury Unbound by Jonathan Eller ), the headnote to the Ray Bradbury short story: "Ray Bradbury is a fourteen-year-old news vendor who lives with his parents in Venice California. He said he would give me a free subscription to The Los Angeles Daily News if I would include his story in this anthology. It marks his first professional appearance." Of course it was not his first. Somewhere he is twelve, or fourteen, or forever, becoming wise with the Cosmos. I love you Ray Bradbury, Thank You again and again!

Born 1940, 12/21 ~ Frank Vincent Zappa I had the pleasure to experience two of his concerts (Toronto, Syracuse) while in college and followed his entire career until his too soon passing, amazing... over twenty years ago, in 1993! He was a genius musically, satirically, metaphorically, and socio-critically. A listener needed to realize that he was definitely perceiving from a very unique perspective (avaunt garde, rock, progressive jazz, and Zappian). He also composed works with full orchestration. Here, a classic piece of masterful playing with the Mothers of Invention: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dp6LT2MdaPI

He was shot on June 5 in the Ambassador Hotel, which appeared in Ray's story "By the Numbers," and died on June 6.
