I am reaching out to you here to thank you for all your many contributions to this board. If you are on Facebook, would you please consider friending me? I am, as you can see, Moderator dandelion, and have been on this board since shortly after it was started.

My real name is [Full Name Removed]. There are only four of us on Facebook: one with a black profile photo, one with a white profile photo, and two with no profile photo. I am the white profile photo (usually a picture of me but currently not--it is staying up until at least January 20, then we'll see--it will still be a white profile photo though).

Richard, I don't know your last name, and FJP, I know your name but there are at least 100 people on Facebook by that name. I will probably delete this post or at least remove my real name from it after hearing from you. I just wanted to give us a chance to keep in touch. I have a number of other friends from here who can vouch for me including Philnic. Thank you for your consideration.

We truly have had some amazing years of exchanges, blessed & shared friendships, rewarding off-site follow-ups on literary-cinema-music topics, along with occasional tears shed when losses have been posted.

My start with humble messages from a "Basement of a NNY Library" were motivated by Mr.Bradbury's writing of F451, in "like manner." At the time I was still classroom bound and enjoying everything RB that I could share with gr. 9-12 teens. I included as many related videos as were available once our pages had been turned and stories were completed.
The students loved it!

My original RB Forums listing was initiated on 29 November 2001 and ran for a few years. I then adjusted my ID, wishing to refrain from using my last name. I realized I was getting increasingly involved and preferred to become more incognito. So, i have been in the mix for quite some time now and have learned so much from visitors from all corners of the Earth, as well as fine personal friends of Mr. Bradbury. What a treasure in which we share!

So, Dandy! You and Richard bring ongoing insights to the board with every post. Richard, your links to RB info are always unique and reflect how involved and metaphoric Mr. Bradbury's daily life really was. He delivered Golden Apples of Sun personally to all of his literary acquaintances and fans!

dandelion and fjp451, thank you both for your kind words and for your own contributions to the Board. I wish other "old friends" would return and contribute but that, of course, is always a personal decision. I for one enjoy this Board, and will try to keep contributing.

dandelion, like fjp451, I am not on Facebook. However, we can...hopefully for a long time to come...continue to communicate and contribute here.

The only other thing I'm on besides Facebook is LinkedIn but I never use it.
