Is there a budding young Ray Bradbury in your family? The Ray Bradbury Award for Science Fiction & Fantasy, sponsored by the Ray Bradbury Foundation, will provide $1,000 scholarships to six students whose writing best uses supernatural, magical, futuristic, scientific, and technological themes as a key element of the narrative. This award is part of the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, the nation’s longest-running and most prestigious recognition program for creative teenagers. The Awards encourage, publish, and grant scholarships to creative teens. All students in the U.S., Canada, or American schools in the rest of the world enrolled in grades 7–12 (ages 13 and up) are eligible to participate. Submissions can be made starting September 1, 2020. Deadlines vary by region, with some as early as December 1, 2020.
