Swan River Press is small publisher, based in Dublin, Ireland, which publishes limited editions of fantastic fiction. (I have several of their books, and they are beautifully done.) From that publisher's website, the link below will take you to an excellent article about Ray Bradbury's relationship to Ireland in his writings, "The Long Reach of Green Shadows: Ray Bradbury's Memories of Ireland": https://swanriverpress.ie/2020...memories-of-ireland/

Richard, What a detailed analysis of Green Shadows, White Whale! Author Steve Gronert Ellerhoff leaves nothing untended in his references to locations, characters, personal RB idiosyncrasies, family matters, related stories, book cover illustrations, pub visits, et al!! I have read GS,WW twice, once while traveling and camping throughout Nova Scotia (we saw whales), and once in my quiet backroom, which looks out into a forested area. The escapes that are available in this novel are endless and so imaginative. As in Dandelion Wine, GS,WW narrations also capture/reflect Mr. Bradbury's life at such vitally significant times. RE: Douglas Spaulding's imaginative childhood and the young, hardworking writer stepping out among the likes of John Huston. Doug Spaulding left a great impression on Waukegan. The young writer of Moby Dick's movie script continues to leave a great impression on the literary world! I have copied this article in its entirety and have added it to my RB files. Thank you, Mr. Bradbury.
