I remember reading a few years back, (when Ray was on our Earth) that he had a wish or prediction, that having remembered reading under the blankets as a child, the works of Jules Verne and HG Welles, ER Burroughs, etc. that he predicted a certain number of years from now little boys would still be discovering these great works, by flashlight, under their own blankets...... in their homes on Mars!

Per the attached brief newspaper article, Ray, on the occasion of a celebration of his 83rd birthday, made the following wish: That one night, 100 years from now, a youngster will stay up late reading THE MARTIAN CHRONICLES with a flashlight under his blanket—on Mars.
