Hello all, I am a film & television actor in Los Angeles who is taking part in the 2012 Ray Bradbury Storytelling festival in Waukegan, IL. I will be doing a reading of an excerpt from Ray's short story "Pillar Of Fire" as a part of the program. http://www.waukeganpl.org/Storytelling-Festival and http://www.waukeganpl.org/news...an-s-genesee-theatre I am interested in contacting the proper person(s) about permission to do some additional public readings of the full version of this story at libraries and colleges in future. If anyone reading this has any relevant information on where I might begin the process of asking for such permission, I would appreciate it. Mr. Bradbury's influence on my life and career is inestimable and I'd like to honor him with future readings. I know that there is a stage version of Pillar Of Fire, but the short story itself is what I am interested in bringing to students using the full original text. Thank you for reading and for this wonderful forum. with appreciation, Bill Oberst Jr. billoberstjr@gmail.com Ray-Bradbury-Bill-Oberst-Jr_(2).jpg (159 Kb, 3 downloads) Waukegan Library Poster

Hi Bill, and welcome to the board. For permissions requests, you should probably contact Ray's agents, Don Congdon Associates. Their contact details are here: http://doncongdon.com/ - Phil Deputy Moderator | Visit my Bradbury website: www.bradburymedia.co.uk | Listen to my Bradbury 100 podcast: https://tinyurl.com/bradbury100pod
