Beveled glass, stained glass, old stair banisters, lightning rods--all bring good money at estate auctions here.

Someday I'm going to get one of these "strawberry windows" just to use as a decorative element---put some hooks on the top, and hang it in front of an existing window.

Here's one that was for sale on eBay recently---it had a "buy-it-now" price of $100, which is reasonable enough, I suppose. Of course, this one had the central clear pane removed and replaced with a mirror, so (in my book) that makes it not as desirable as one in its original state. I'd definitely want to hang such an item in the sunlight, and not use it as a mirror...
