This has gotta be one of the oddest shaped libraries. Seemingly a block long in length, it all looks about ready to collapse upon itself. This small front section attests to that somewhat sinking look. Nevertheless, it's here Ray spoke to a good crowd on Wednesday, 6 PM, Sept. 13th, 2006. (NOTE: Several of these photos can be super-sized!)

As usual Nard, an excellent reflection of the event. Ray appears fit and fiddle. Thanks again for sharing.

Thanks, Nardster!
Yeah, that building wouldn't look like it was sinking if the bricks were level.
I wish we could get the man up here to one of our libraries someday!

This was a wonderful lecture on Life, Love, and the Pursuit of Books from Mr B. He spoke strong and clear for about an hour, then signed books and stuff.

He was obviously in high spirits and good humour - when the librarian said we needed to hurry along so they could be out of the library by 8PM, he interjected loudly, "No - you can't go until midnight; you're all hostages of the library!"

He may not have been kidding!

He laughed heartily many times. Sometimes at his own stories and sometimes at our comments. He was clearly in his element.

Wanted to make a quick comment about the photos of the library CLOCK ... specifically that the CLOCK is NOT telling the truth. The clock should read at least AFTER 6:30 PM...even if it were a bit honest...

Sorry - I meant to post these a couple weeks ago! Movie-making really takes it out of you!

And another. You can see me shooting this one in front of the library doors in Nard's photo above.
