Ray Bradbury is scheduled to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at the Ojai Film Festival in Ojai, Califirnia. It appears that tickets to the event are $100. Here is a link to the Festival's website, which includes information on how to order tickets.

I'm glad this has finally come out. I wanted to announce it on March 21st, when I went to visit Ray to talk about a possible entry in this festival.

During that visit I heard about the award, but it was still hush hush, as they say.

Concerning the film, we're all set but need to raise about $3000 to make it happen - you know we independent filmmakers don't have any money!

So our entry may or may not happen this year, but whatever happens, we press on.

All I had to do is tell she-who-must-be-obeyed that there was an Inn and SPA and she said we can attend.

I am very happy for you John and am, again, very jealous of your proximity.
