The winner of the Ray Bradbury Prize for Science Fiction, Fantasy and Speculative Fiction, part of the Los Angeles Times Book Prizes, was announced over the weekend. The winner was THE ONLY GOOD INDIANS, by Stephen Graham Jones. I have that book. It is by turns thoughtful, funny and terrifying, and highly recommended. For a link that displays all the winners in all award categories, click on the link below. That link will also provide you the ability to see the entire on-line awards presentation, with the Ray Bradbury Prize presentation starting at about 51 minutes and 25 seconds into the video contained on the site. Wow, I see that Stephen Graham Jones won two Shirley Jackson Awards—not just in the novel category, but in the novella category as well, for his novella "Night of the Mannequins".
