Glendale Paperback Book Show
The 2018 Glendale Paperback Book Show has been scheduled for March 18. Sadly, a number of authors who were regulars at the show have passed away, including Ray Bradbury, Forrest J Ackerman, George Clayton Johnson, Jerry Pournelle and Earl Hamner, to name only a few. However, fine writers such as William Nolan, Larry Niven and Gregory Benford have continued to attend, and its a great way to pick up both scarce and inexpensive books, as well as getting books signed. Here is a link to details about the 2018 show:

Was this the Black Ace Book Show in the past?

Yes, the show is sponsored by Black Ace Books, and used to be held in Mission Hills, California. The space in Glendale to which it moved a few years ago is much, much nicer.

If you would like to read about the history of this one-in-a-kind book fair, just click on the link below. The article includes photos of such past attending authors as Ray Bradbury, Robert Bloch, Harlan Ellison and A.E. Van Vogt. Many other past attendees have also sadly passed away, including William F. Nolan, Forrest J Ackerman, Jerry Sohl, Richard Matheson, Poul Anderson, and Frederik Pohl. However, it still remains a fun show, and well worth attending.
