"The Sound of Thunder"
For those of you who are English teachers, "The Sound of Thunder" is a repository of sensory language. Bradbury uses metaphors and similies that are vivid and appropriate. It is so hard to teach these concepts to students who often create comparisons that are corny and inappropriate. Bradbury gives us a pattern that shows how language can be a usefull tool to teach these concepts. Bravo, Ray!

According to the Locus website, it's also the most frequently anthologised story ever.

Of Bradbury's, or of anybody's? It's certainly the most frequently remembered/requested of his, judging from queries on this and the other "what was that story?" sites I've mentioned.
