Mr. Dark, I think describing reading "A Portrait" as a "gotcha" moment captures it perfectly. I read it at sixteen, and it was the absolutely best time--but I think maybe that's the mark of great literature--whenever you read it, it still manages to produce an individual resonance.

Thank you, Wild Gravity, for your response. It sure makes me feel a lot better as I certainly did not wish to cause problems and ill will on any one's part, especially yours. Please continue with your great posts and photos when possible.
