Bradbury's Autograph
I met Ray Bradbury when he signed the
book. Green shadows white whale, back about
ten years ago.
His Autograph is almost the most famous one
I have.
A rather strange thing happened later on that day.
Bradbury had mentioned when he spoke to the audience at the bookstore of his involvement
of writing the screenplay for Moby Dick in the fifties.
Later on that day there was a rerun of the classic television show "You bet your life"
with Groucho Marx.
The young Bradbury interviewed by Groucho talked about his just being commisioned to
write the screen play for John Huston and
it was Moby Dick!
The timing for me was a perfect time warp.
