Looking for this passage
In my grandmother's journal is this passage, with Ray Bradbury's name below it. I can't find it anywhere...

'And close your mind, they told me. You cant do that, you've been doing it a long time now. And yest I know, how well I know the days and years when the ache will flood again in gray afternoons, and my mouth will go dry, and I will have to close my book to get up and walk across the room to the window.'

It may only be part his, she may have added to it, but she had his name as a credit. Can anyone help? Thanks... Dawn Marie

I'm afraid I don't recognise it, but it sounds like it's from a poem (and I'm not a great fan of Ray's poetry).

It does sound like it could be Bradbury, however - that line about "gray afternoons" sounds like him.

All I can suggest is getting hold of one of his books of poetry - take a look here for what's out there.
