Essay for The Veldt by Ray Bradbury
Hello! I am new here. I am trying to write an essay on the theme of Man vs. Technology in Ray Bradbury's The Veldt. I am having trouble with coming up with examples for the points dehumanization, destructive power, and distorting reality. Thanks for the help!

Hi CMasters, and welcome to the board.

Have you read the story? Why not tell us your initial thoughts on those three points, then we can respond with whether we think you are on the right lines.

When I read this short story, I got the idea that the children had lost so much human contact from their parents (they are basically raised by the machine) that they literally have no emotional response to their parents death---in fact they feel its necessary so that their beloved house doesn't get turned off.
