RichardI suggest you pick up (or perhaps check out of your local library) a copy of a recent book about Ray called BRADBURY: AN ILLUSTRATED LIFE, by Jerry Weist. It will provide you with a great deal of information about the forces that influenced Ray and his writing.

Mr. DarkThe best place to get a feel for Bradbury's writing, world view, etc., is to read his works carefully.
For author's culture/childhood, read his novel "Dandelion Wine".
Also check out the biography on him called, "Bradbury, An Illustrated Life: A Journey to Far Metaphor" by Jerry Weist.
Also, several editions of his works have introductions and/or afterwards that talk about his background/writing.
For information on his writing, see, "Zen in the Art of Writing".
For information on his world view, read "A Chapbook for Burnt-Out Priests, Rabbis and Ministers".
We are all awaiting Sam Weller's upcoming official biography on Ray Bradbury due out in 2004!

Mr. DarkThanks for the thanks. A lot of times people will post a question, several of us will answer, and we never hear back. It is great to know that we helped and that it was appreciated.
