Congrats on attending the play and the review. I saw the local version, in a similar performance in LA a few years ago and had almost the same reation. The familiar becomes alive, and yet we have to rely on our imagination to fill in the details from the novel or the movie. I never liked the part of the movie where the Dust Witch brings the spiders. I prefer the description in the book and it is well done on the Colonial Players CD.
P.S. I used to drive 120 minutes one way every day. Big deal. But then we are truly crazy in So. California. Want to save gas and shut down the Saudis? Telecommute, and it will drive them out of business.

Not really, I just wondered why you have never visited for the experience of the
country! But you've already told me it's owing to lack of funds.
