ar53nal14Important question!
In the story "The Pedestrian" does Mead talk to anybody? It's a T or F answer!;p

dandelionIt's a trick question! Read the story carefully.

ar53nal14Does he or no? Just reply please! He talks to the police car and whispers to people through windows.

dandelion(Teachers: should I explain *why* it's a trick question, and either True OR False would be wrong on some level, depending on interpretation?)

philnicI think ar53nal14 should make his/her own judgment. He/she clearly knows the "facts" as related in the story, so it should be a matter of applying the mind to the "meaning(s)".

dandelionOh, it's not to determine if they're right or wrong! It's to make them THINK! Okay, then.

fjp451I thought it was absolutely clear. He was not "talking!"
He was "Walking! Just Walking!"

Doug SpauldingWell, ar53nal14 is persistent, I'll say that!
They're not having sport with you - they really want you to attempt an answer first, then they'll discuss it with you.
