Why write?
Hello All,

I recently came across a quote attributed to Mr Bradbury:

I write so that I may not die.

Can anyone tell me if this is really attributable to Mr Bradbury?

Many thanks for your time.

I don't have the entire comment, but I've heard Ray say it as part of his talk.....

OK. Thanks for that speedy response.

At least I know I'm on the right track.

". . . writing is survival. Any art, any good work, of course, is that. Not to write, for many of us, is to die."

From: ZEN IN THE ART OF WRITING. Ray Bradbury. Joshua O'Dell Editions, Santa Barbara. 1996. p.xii (the preface).

Hope this helps.

Ought Not
I must say Zen is a great collection of nonfiction. I've read it at least three times. If Yestermorrow is half as good I need to get my hands on it.
