Update on It Came From Outer Space
From the Gauntlet Press website:

"CHANGE OF PUB DATE FOR IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE

Posted July 13th

Gauntlet has gained a reputation over the past 12 years of publishing our books on time (even early at times). We do everything in our power to assure a book gets to your door when we say it will. With IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE we were jolted by the unexpected heart attack of our layout designer for this book, Buddy Martinez. His recovery has been slower than expected. ICFOS' editor, Donn Albright, has spoken at length with Buddy recently -- the two of them have been working in concert during the past year as to the book's contents. Therefore, Donn feels it is important that it is Buddy who completes the task of laying out the book.

We have been assured Buddy is recovering and should be back to work in a short period of time. As a result, our plans are to publish ICFOS in the Winter of 2003/2004. As a token of appreciation to our longtime customers who are anxiously awaiting this book, this fall we will be sending out a special chapbook of Bradbury material to all of those who ordered ICFOS. We'll provide more details when available. The chapbook will be free and available only to those who have preordered ICFOS. There will be a separate chapbook that actually comes with ICFOS, which will be available to all who purchase the book.

Again, we sincerely apologize for the delay, but this is something we had no control over. Starting from scratch with another layout designer is not an option right now. We will continue to keep you informed. Tipsheets have already been signed and once the book is laid out we'll be good to go (getting the book to the printer ASAP)."

Too bad it's going to take a bit longer, but it looks like those of us who've ordered the book already will be getting something extra while we wait.
