Actor Richard Thomas describes moments onstage including his first appearance in a Shakespeare play at the age of 13 during Shakespeare’s 400th anniversary in 1964.

Actor James Earl Jones remembers first hearing a Shakespeare quote from his uncle when he was a child. As a young actor his first appearance in a Shakespeare play was as a spear carrier with a few lines. He went on to play Othello and King Lear.

Author Ray Bradbury relates how Shakespeare’s influence on Herman Melville impacted his life when he was chosen to write the screenplay of Moby-Dick. He also used a Shakespeare quote as a title for one of his books, Something Wicked This Way Comes.

Overall this is an interesting series and recommended as the viewer may be entertained and learn something.
