New issue of Dark Discoveries (#17) w/Ray Bradbury story,William F Nolan,Shirley,etc.
We've got a new issue of Dark Discoveries coming off the presses now and it's a DARK SCIENCE FICTION special. Featuring fiction by RAY BRADBURY, JOHN SHIRLEY, BRUCE TAYLOR, JEFFREY THOMAS and others. Nonfiction by WILLIAM F. NOLAN (on PHILIP K. DICK), NICK MAMATAS (on J.G. BALLARD), JASON V BROCK (on ROD SERLING and more!

The Bradbury story is "The Shop of Mechanical Insects" that Subterranean did a little graphic novel chapbook of last year (ours is a slightly different alternate version and is about 100 words longer as well). This is a great little William Burroughs-esque sort of tale and i'm proud to feature it in DD.

Here's the link to order from the website (http://darkdiscoveries.1freecart.com/i/186043/dark-discoveries-17-fall-2010-dark-sci-fi-special.htm)and we're also having a special 20% off sale now until the end of October!

Thanks to everybody who picked up a copy of issue #17 as well! The Bradbury story was well receieved and the new John Shirley one we ran made the Year's Best Dark Fantasy and Horror. I've still got a few copies left too if anybody still needs to pick one up.

I'm also down to just 1 copy of issue #13 of DD, which featured a brand new interview with Ray Bradbury. Last chance to grab one if you haven't yet. Here's the link:

I almost forgot, we also have a review of FROM DAWN TILL DUSK in there from Gauntlet Press. Read an advance copy of this myself and it's very cool! Interesting to see the contrast btween his original script of DARK CARNIVAL written for Fred Astaire, and the later one finally made into SOMETHING WICKED - as well as seeing the Catacombs stories tied togther with the unpublished one, Ray's handwritten script pages, photos, etc.
