Homework assignment stickee
What this board needs is a stickee (message thread that stays at the top of the board) for all those students who come here looking for help with homework assignments.

We could include a list of non-fiction books by RB:

Zen in the Art of Writing (1990)
Yestermorrow: Obvious Answers to Impossible Futures (1991)
Conversations With Ray Bradbury (2004)
Bradbury Speaks: Too Soon from the Cave, Too Far from the Stars (2005)

And a list of books about RB:

• William F. Nolan, The Ray Bradbury Companion: A Life and Career History, Photolog, and Comprehensive Checklist of Writings, Gale Research (1975). Hardcover, 339 pages.
• Jerry Weist, Bradbury, an Illustrated Life: A Journey to Far Metaphor, William Morrow & Company (2002). Hardcover, 208 pages.
• Jonathan R. Eller and William F. Touponce, Ray Bradbury: The Life of Fiction, Kent State University Press (2004). Hardcover, 320 pages.
• Sam Weller, The Bradbury Chronicles: The Life of Ray Bradbury, HarperCollins (2005). Hardcover, 384 pages.

And links to SparkNotes guides:

Fahrenheit 451
Dandelion Wine
The Martian Chronicles
Something Wicked This Way Comes

The stickee would end with the advice that sentences begin with capital letters. Wink

Walloon: Good ideas would help this site, of course! But also many new people don't understand that with the many thousands of postings that have done archived here, there is a "Search Box", which will pick out that particular item they are looking for amongst all those many posts.

What say 'dandelion'? Get some of Walloon's ideas to the higher-ups!

I haven't been in touch with the "techs" about the other ideas we discussed. Too many irons in the fire is the best way of putting it I guess.

A low-tech way of achieving this would be to have an FAQ thread (there's already an FAQ on my website, designed for this purpose) that is systematically, periodically 'bumped' to appear at the top of the list.
