How is it affecting the new Bradbury site, are they spying on us? {Waves to the audience, even flashes them - a grin}

For info to this website listeners only:

Went to The Chicago Printer's Row Book Fair today...but can't post any pictures until at least tomorrow (Monday) because of software problems. Anyway, Sam Weller spoke at the 12 o'clock gathering at the University Center, right off campus of the Book Fair. Lana showed up...(screen name: lmskipper)...and I was happy to meet her for the firsttime, and Sam Weller also met Lana for the first time. When Sam learned that she was a school teacher and that her class read Bradbury this past semester, Sam was all for visiting her class in the Fall.

Also:
...Sam is off to New York and Harper-Collins next week. Hopefully, he will also stop in to meet ...for the first time...Steve Ditko, co-creator of Spider- Man. Steve is getting up in years...and Sam says maybe there is an idea for a magazine article in the meeting somewheres...

_

I'll try to get the pictures posted by Tuesday (at the latest) ...on the 'Main' Bradbury website...of the Printer's Row Book fair event.

I can 'not' get access to the New Bradbury site...hmm? Too much traffic? Maintenance...or ???
BUT...I can get here easily. A back-up website?! Now, that's a great idea!!!

Just emerged from the Blue World. I couldn't get in earlier, but it seems OK now, albeit a bit sluggish.

So this is the back up site ehhhhh? Tell it to the judge.

But on a serious note (is there such a thing? God knows I hope not) I like this board better because it seems to be quieter, and the company is nicer. I might even consider have a drink with you except I'm underage, and the Keg is frozen solid. Cheers anyway.

I tried to stomp it out with my finger, but the fire persists! I'm used to setting fires, not putting them out.

Come on! Put our heads together. What useful thing can be done with an abandoned website? Perhaps we are using the full potential of the site by just gathering around the file folders that catch fire ...to keep our hands warm. Tsk tsk. I hope there is more.

Given--this place could go "poof" at any time. So, why not, with a nod to pterran, call this site "Ruled Paper 2: Miscellaneous Thoughts Inspired by the Genius of Ray Bradbury?" Or post that as a new topic here? Whatcha think?

Personally, I value the thoughts and opinions of those here on just about any topic conceivable. Why? Because Ray's the blood flowing in our veins. There's a commonality here that makes me want to listen, even if your opinion is different from mine. And I might read, and change my opinion, or at least compromise, and grow as a person.

Sorry, I stepped on that soapbox again.
