"The Martian Chronicles"
Imskipper,
I've been trying to email you to no avail. I want to know if I send you a blank tape and some cash-ola for shipping will you please dub me a copy of the Martian Chronicles? I have a vague memory of seeing it when it first ran with my dad and his friend. I was six. Now that I'm an adult (so to speak) and have discovered Ray Bradbury, I have been trying to track it down in vain.
Thanks,
Greentown

Sorry about the e-mail not getting through to me. If I don't recognize an e-mail address, I always delete it. (Too many viruses, Viagra sales, promises to enlarge body parts that I don't even have, etc.) As for the dubbing, I don't have any way of doing that, at least that I'm aware of. Correct me if I'm wrong about that...

Imskipper,
It was just a thought. If you can't dub it, you can't dub it. Come to think of it, I only have access to one VCR myself with the DVDs having muscled in. Hopefully it will be released on DVD in the not too distant future (maybe with A Sound Of Thunder and Fahrenheit 451 comin out). I had heard that Darabont wanted to do Martian Chronicles after he did F451. Anyone know if that's still a go?
Ever get down to St. Louis?

Actually, it will be released from MGM home video on September 7th, at a price of $19.98. I'm definately looking forward to obtaining my copy of the DVD. This mini-series is definately a classic in my book. If not the best ever conceived for network television.
