biplane1I spoke with Doug last evening on his trek across the continent. He was going to wrap up the day and hunker down in a motel and take off early this morning.
His arrival in Washington D. C. will be in a few days, not withstanding any flat tires. We all wish him a fast and safe journey.

I was the one on the phone with him when you first called and went to voicemail.

Doug still did not tell me which version of Route 66 he was listening to: Bobby Troup or Nat King Cole. Of course, he is going in the wrong direction.

Soon he’ll need to be listening to the theme music from Deliverence.
