Rachel Bloom's agent has suggested she do a PG-13 version of her song so it can get some air-play

Another Grrr:
Ray Bradbury, et al "Ray Bradbury's The Martian Chronicles: The Authorized Adaptation" Etimated arrival date: July 25 2011 - July 29 2011
Ray Bradbury, Ron Wimberly "Ray Bradbury's Something Wicked This Way Comes: The Authorized Adaptation" Estimated arrival date: July 25 2011 - July 29 2011
I bet somebody in marketing at the publisher thinks a release date coinciding with Comic Con is a good thing.

As in RachelBlook.jpg, I believe.
How on earth could you make that song innocuous without losing the meaning of it? It's one thing for Cee Lo to change one word to get a radio-safe version of "F*** You", but in that instance it was just an expletive. In Rachel's case, it literally means what it says!
(The Cee Lo business is here - but do NOT click if you are easily offended!)

jkt suggested changing "fuck" to "love". I think it's a swell idea! Certainly, it won't pack the wallop of shock that the original did, but it'll become a big hit on commercial radio!

M RADIO is having a "Science Fiction Week", presenting a BBC Radio 4 series THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME from 1991. Second up is "Kaleidoscope" by Ray Bradbury. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Linnl, 14 March 2011 07:37 PM

That's a terrific production, which is actually a dramatisation of Ray's stage play (rather than an adaptation of his short story). It was historically significant, too, being the first radio play to be produced using a kind of sequencer/sampler. I can't remember the details, but I did some research on it, and wrote about it, a few years ago.
Just one grumble: unless M Radio has hidden a copyright statement somewhere, this is BBC copyrighted material, and of course the play is copyrighted by Bradbury. Piracy!
