Vroman's Bookstore Is for Sale
Vroman's Bookstore in Pasadena, California, one of the largest independent book stores in the Los Angeles metropolitan area, is for sale, as the current owner intends to retire. The store has been around since 1895, and has been owned by the same family for over a century. Ray Bradbury was a frequent signer at Vroman's, appearing there many times over his writing career:

I was just there yesterday, there's a new (at least to me since I last popped in several years ago) wine bar and they had a live jazz trio. Things had been rearranged a bit, but it seemed vibrant as ever.
