Ray's lucky escape from Public Domain!
If US copyright law had not changed, Fahrenheit 451 would apparently have entered the public domain today!

I believe in copyright, and think Ray is entitled to absolute control over his work. However, there is another view, which is explored in this interesting article:

Now that was a controversial article! I'm very happy that no one will have a chance to ruin Mr. Bradbury's works until the middle of this century. I mean, could you imagine something like this:

"Come out and see Steven Spielberg's newest action/adventure film! Hotter than Fahrenheit 451!"

Included with the tagline, "This time...its personal."


"Oh, death!"
