Sam Weller speaks at the HOTHOUSE, in Chicago
__________

Stories Sam Weller told for a gathering of Columbia College students, teachers, and visitors, in Chicago the other day, had a lot to do about a writer's adventures in taking on a book, perhaps any book, but especially a big book of a great author like Ray Bradbury. No matter what one is involved in, a great deal happens on your way to the finished hour of whatever you set out to do. Sam added stories of his first interviews with Bradbury (most amusing)...his daily ups and downs, and fascinating visits elsewhere with Bradbury.

Perhaps Sam should hold on to all those fine recollections and someday write a lengthy piece about what a writer may expect once he sets forth to blaze great new trails. It can be most humbling...
