Don't stop! They're not your imprefections, they're a consequence of that quaint technology that relied on negatives. Besides, it's not unknown for a photographer, editor or art director to deliberately "flop the negative" in order to get a more appealing composition. Ever noticed that the painting adorning the cover of Jerry Weist's book is a FLOPPED version of the same painting that appeared on the cover of FANTASY & SCIENCE FICTION. I don't know which version is the correct one, but presumably the art directors of the respective publications had aeshetic reasons for printing the image one way round or t'other.

(T'other is a good word.)
