I posted this note on another forum but didn't receive any responses:
I became a Ray Bradbury fan years ago after reading a story that described a hillside covered with blue grass that made a "tinkling" sound when a breeze riffled over it. I was hooked. Does anyone remember the name of the story?

Try - "November 2005, The Off Season" from Martian Chronicles. Many blue images, wind and landscape references.
It sounds like what you are alluding to - hope it helps.

Thanks, I'll check that out. Right now I'm reading his collection in "I Sing the Body Electric" and I'm enchanted all over again.
