We lost a great man yesterday
I realize there is (sadly) little activitity on here, but I wanted to be the first to post that we lost the man himself, and that it saddens my heart.
Time for me to reread "Foghorn," "There Will Come Soft Rains," and "The Silent Towns" now.

I've been reading many of his stories again and yes, it is sad that a man who I consider one of the great writers in American history doesn't get more attention from the media and readers. I own more of his books than any author. I only keep those books I want to re-read. He was one of a kind.

I wasn't sure what oldpink meant by this. At the time s/he posted, this message board was busier than it had ever been.

And it's always pretty busy, and trust me I have been on some very dead groups!
