I first read Ray's books in a sci fi class I had at a private, Catholic girl's school! I loved Martian Chronicles so much, that I read The Illustrated Man in the same semester and started to write short story sci fi myself.

To this day, Ray's books are my favorite sci fi books. I've shared many of his stories with my children who'd sit mesmerized for hours while I read to them and to students that I have worked with in the neighboring school district.

Hi lemonchiffon, and welcome. Your story sounds like a lot that we hear on this board. Bradbury seems to grab us at a young age and never let us go. And sometimes he just HAS to be read out loud!
