To all those who have read The Pedestrian by Ray Bradbury what are your thoughts on this short story? Personally, it's not my favorite piece from Ray but I admire how he used the setting to somewhat tell a story of its own. For example, how whenever Mead was taking a walk and the only sign of activity is the lights coming from the TVs inside people's houses. This to me tells the reader how things change, and that today's technology will have an impact on us later. Maybe people today should follow Mead's example and stray away from the distactions of today's technology and take a whole new perspective on life.

I really enjoyed this short story. I am not a big fan of Ray Bradbury but I have to admit that this story was really good. Ray did an excellent job of describing the scene. I like how he used the setting to describe the main character. It tells you that he is very different from the rest of the people in the city, and that he doesn't really like technology. I also thought the police car changed the mood of the story. The story was peaceful until the police car came up and started asking questions. Another reason I like this story is because I am a little bit like Mead. I would rather be outside doing things with my friends that being inside watching TV, or playing video games.

I enjoyed The Pedestrain. Although it is no where near my favorite story it was an alright one. My favorite part of the story was the imagery of the house. Mr. Bradbury states them as being "tomb-like". Another part of the story I enjoyed was when the talking police car pulled him over. It is crazy how Bradbury thought of such an out of the box idea. Also, his take on writers and writing. The police car was not programmed by the programmers to reconize that as an occupation.
