After I read "Something Wicked This Way Comes," I decided to become a lightning rod salesman jutst like the one in the book. This character was inspiring to me because of his abundant charisma skills that he used when adviertising lighting rods door-to-door.

I think the lightning rod salesman is almost the same character from a short story by Herman Melville of the same name (maybe "The seller of lightning rods"). I really enjoyed both of the stories. In Melville's version, the salesman is trying to convince the protagonist to buy a rod, but (I think)he leaves without a sale.
I think I'd like to be a seller of lightning rods. At least metaphorically.
