Hi everyone!
My name is Ekaterina. I'm a 10th grade student of International School of Belgrde, and now I'm working on my Personal Project, which should be done by this December. For a topic of my project, I decided to choose "Investigation of Ray Bradbury's World".
But, the point is, the Project is supposed to have "Global Context", which means that I have to connect my topic to the current world and society. Now I have a difficult choice between "Identities and Relationships" and "Persoanl and Cultural Expression". To be clear, I'm going to explain each of them.
[LIST] "Identities and Relationships" - exploring identity, beliefs and value, personal, physiacal, mental, social and spiritual health, human relationships, communities, what it means to be human.
[LIST] "Personal and Cultural Expression" - exploring the ways in which we discover and express ideas, feelings, nature, culture, beliefs and values, ways in which we reflect on and enjoy our creativity, our appreciation of the aesthetic.
I'm pretty sure, that Mr. Bradbury's novels, short stories or his ideas help all of you to move on with life, conquer obstacles, or just get the stimulus and pleasure!
So, please, don't be indifferent, and say, "What exactly Ray Brabury means for YOU". It would be great, if you also wrote your favorite works, and how they impact on you and your life, mind.

Thank you for attention!)

Hi Ekaterina, and welcome!

I will mention one story, which demands attention: "And The Moon Be Still As Bright". It's a chapter of THE MARTIAN CHRONICLES, but also available as a short story in several places.

Look out for the character of Spender, a man who finds himself isolated in his appreciation of the former Martian culture, and at odds with his colleagues and crewmates. He relates to the Martians, and comes to identify himself as Martian. A great story, and undoubtedly on of Bradbury's own favourites.

Phil has offered a great story and tie in. (One of my favorite's to share with students): https://search.yahoo.com/searc...ht&ei=UTF-8&fr=moz35

How about Mr. Bradbury's social awareness long before it was widely accepted to write about race topics (1949, I believe on the publication)? This story was actually very bold of him. Another powerful theme: "The Big Black and White Game"

RE: "Identities and Relationships" - exploring identity, beliefs and value, personal, physical, mental, social and spiritual health, human relationships, communities, what it means to be human.

Sounds like a very challenging assignment. Do well!
