If I lived in Guy's society I would be just like Guy, I would question everything, and I wouldn't take no as an answer. I would argue everything and I would question anything I heard. I would want to know what is going on in the world around me. I might not be able to come out like Guy came out, I probably would have needed someone just like Faber and even Clarisse to help me. Everyone in that era was a conformist and just went with what they were told, no one was truly happy. Guy, Faber, and Clarisse were the few nonconformists of the era and changed it maybe for the better. The fact that your job or profession was already set out for you would make someone upset.

I agree that books are important and all, and if you think about it, Ray WAS a prophet for his time.
