so, I'm writing a paper for an English class, and I normally don't like this since my writing skills are, well, lacking. But this paper could be about any short story author. My first choice was Ray Bradbury, and I'm happy to say I got it!

How did I hear about this awsome guy? Well, english in 6th grade we got to read The Velt, and I loved it. I'm a total videogame nerd, so the idea of a virtual reality room that acutally broke the barrier into reality is so awsome. I won't be using that story, Instead I'll use other stories from The Illustrated Man. I also vaugly remember watching the movie version of All Summber In a Day, although we all know that movies kill the books they are based off of.

Thats my story, whats your story?

Creepy is a good word...

I first encountered Bradbury through his less creepy stories, and was instantly amazed. But then when I discovered his genuinely creepy tales - The Scythe, Skeleton, The Wind, The Lake, The Crowd, The Playground - I was convinced this man had perfected the form, at least as far as short stories is concerned.

Having read Dandelion Wine before The October Country, that one surprised me but I was no less delighted with it.

Welcome, squirrel! Do you know Rocky?
