Hello all,

I am a school librarian and some of the English teachers in my building are looking to find a poem that has a theme that can be compared to "All summer in a day". This should be one that is accessable to 9th graders. I have searched for hours, but thought I'd turn to the experts before I tear my hair out.

Any thoughts?

Note also that 'Gerard Manley Hopkins' (a Roman Catholic priest no less) is one of Ray's favorite poets.

I can understand why Hopkins (and Dylan Thomas, no doubt) appeals to Mr. Bradbury, as they, like he, are masters of concise imagery (i.e. forming the desired images in the mind of the reader by using a few well-chosen words).
