Kind thoughts and sincere hope for comforting love of those closest to all of your family. A silent prayer.
Peace.

Same here, Phil--thoughts, condolences, and even prayers, which certainly can't hurt!

Thanks all. I've been away with family for a few days, sorting things out. I will need to lie low for a while longer, but will look in from time to time.

If I forget to check in again, Merry Christmas to all.

- Phil

Phil, sincere condolences. Especially hard this time of year. My dad died on Thanksgiving Day. May your father's memory be eternal!

As I recall, Ray Bradbury's wife died right around Thanksgiving and his brother right around the following Easter so he must think about them a lot on holidays.

When my dad died (1995) we had to travel to Florida to be with him in hospital.

Well, my dad made it easy by dying at home, but complicated matters by being buried out of state. I later researched the house and learned he was the fourth person to die on the premises. In two cases (him and a lady who passed in 1938) we know which room.
