The Leave Taking...
I just read of the passing of SF photographer Jay Kay Klein. I am certain he photographed Ray on more than one occasion, but ask some quick web searching I have been unable to locate any specific images.

Ray's friend Harlan Ellison, writing on his own website, posted a short tribute to Jay Kay. (It's impossible to post a direct link to the exact post, so I'll paste it below.)

R.I.P. JAY KAY KLEIN

Notice of the passing of photographer (longtime fan historian) Jay Kay Klein, via Spider Robinson's post, should not be taken lightly. If there has been one person who preserved our genre's past, and the likenesses of our icons, it was good friend Jay Kay, always there when you needed a photo, a fount of accurate information. His passing is a landmark; not a happy one; but one that all should pass a moment of silent memory to honor, for a lifetime of service and camaraderie to an infinitude of the grateful among us.

Goodby, Jay Kay, old dear.

Yr. grateful pal, Harlan

I've been obsessed with that concept since 1973 and am tempted to write a book about it.

I've seen a few obituaries for Leo Dillon, but the one from the NEW YORK TIMES best describes his relationship with his wife and collaborator, Diane Dillon. Until I read this article I had no idea about how they worked, how they met, or what motivated their approach:
