I'll have a P please, Bob: star of British broadcasting Bob Holness.

Among other claims to fame, Holness was the second-ever James Bond, and was NOT the saxophone soloist on Gerry Rafferty's 'Baker Street'.

The fine British science fiction writer John Christopher (who also wrote under his real name, Samuel Youd) has died at age 89. He is perhaps best known for his novel THE DEATH OF GRASS (published in this country as NO BLADE OF GRASS), and his TRIPODS sci-fi trilogy for young adults (which this aging adult continues to enjoy to this day). Here is a link to details about his passing.
